Misty Isle Gin
Misty Isle Gin has been a long time in the making. It’s become something of a passion. From our family home in Portree on the Isle of Skye, we have created a spirit which we are proud to call our own. Distilling this beautiful craft gin anywhere else but here on Skye was never in question. Provenance is everything – that abiding sense of belonging and community.
Over time, we have perfected our recipe; a marriage of waters from the Storr Lochs and the right balance of the finest botanicals. It has taken patience and judgement, but some things cannot be rushed.
Misty Isle Mulled Christmas Gin
Well worth the wait, this seasonal gin brings together all the traditional festive flavours that you would associate with a mulled wine. The botanicals: juniper, cassia bark, orange, lemon, star anise, Tonka beans and a pinch of liquorice root are all soaked in the rich, Italian Amarone red wine prior to distilling.
Our Mulled Gin, therefore, has the same flavour profile as a delicious mulled wine combined with a generous juniper hit. We recommend that you enjoy our gin with a Scottish tonic water, a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick.
Misty Isle Vodka
Welcome to the newest member of our premium spirit family. The first Vodka to be distilled on the Isle of Skye. Misty Isle Vodka is traditionally triple distilled in small batches using water from Storr Lochs. It is finished by hand to create a crisp, clean and smooth spirit.
Tommy's Gin
We have created a 45% volume gin in memory of our late father, Tommy Wilson, which we launched in October 2017. Tommy served in the Suez invasion and passed away in late August 2016.
‘Tommy’ is also a generic name and term of endearment for a soldier. For every bottle of Tommy’s gin sold, a donation will be made to local Military Charities. Military charities are close to Thomas’ heart and he takes great pride in creating this unique gin.
We take our imagery and artwork from inspiration from the Commando memorial, near Spean Bridge which we pass every week as we deliver our gin to the mainland.
